Thanks for sending a message to President-elect Trump.

A vast majority of Americans support the Paris Agreement, and “canceling” U.S. involvement would be detrimental to the global fight to protect our health and our environment.  Trump hasn’t even taken the oath of office, and already he poses an unprecedented threat to the climate progress we’ve made. Now more than ever, we need fight back.

A vast majority of Americans support the Paris Agreement, and “canceling” U.S. involvement would be detrimental to the global fight to protect our health and our environment.  Yet in his 100-day action plan on energy, President-elect Trump is considering pulling out of the Paris accord — an unprecedented threat to the climate progress we’ve made. We need to fight back.

Climate change impacts every facet of American life — from public health to extreme weather to national security. Despite the fact that a majority of Americans, and even a majority of Republicans, support action on climate change, President-elect Donald Trump refuses to accept the facts and take climate change seriously, putting the health and safety of our families at risk. With Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan by his side, Trump is threatening an all-out war on the policies and plans that protect our environment and our health, dismantling the remarkable progress we’ve made over the last eight years.

The Paris Agreement is now international law, and withdrawal would require a lengthy process. Furthermore, the agreement is supported by a majority of Americans and by a diverse range of businesses, investors, faith communities, doctors, and trade unions. “Canceling” U.S. involvement in the Paris Agreement would be in direct conflict with the will of the American people and would be bad for business, bad for public health, and bad for the economy.

With Republicans controlling the House, Senate, and the White House, we have a tough fight ahead to continue our progress on climate change and clean energy, and fending off attacks on the vital protections of the Paris Agreement will be a top priority. No country, no person, and no business is immune to climate change, and all must be part of the solution. Tell President-elect Trump that his victory does not change that fact.
